iPod touch screen problems fixed?
According to the Macrumors forum, it is! So when the iPod Touch arrives in our shores this October, ensure that you don’t get a defective unit by checking either the box cover or the serial number.
Apparently, all iPod Touch units released after week 38 has been resolved. How can you tell which are the “week 38″ iPods? According to the forum thread, week 38 iPods have the Macy Gray box while the prior releases have the Corinne Bailey Rae box.

Also, one can supposedly check the serial number on the box. The serial numbers for the the week 37 units begin with 9C737; those for the week 38 begin with 9C738.
